Everything You Need to Know about the 2016 Detroit Auto Show in Under 2 Minutes

The North American International Auto Show in Detroit, or the Detroit Auto Show for short, is a yearly spectacular. In January, it allows automakers to show off what they've got in store for the new year.

In 2016, Ford is introducing an updated Ford F-150 Raptor, sure to delight off-road enthusiasts. They've also got an even more technology-packed Ford Fusion for your everyday driving needs.

Perhaps most exciting isn't what Ford has hitting the market this year, but the projects they're invested in for the future. The company plans to introduce 13 new electric models, with a $4.5 billion investment. They are also heavily researching self-driving cars.

According to one CNET headline, Ford is deploying the largest self-driving car fleet in the world.

Their 30 self-driving prototypes will be tested here in the U.S., and are equipped with small yet powerful LIDAR detectors which help them build a 3D map of their surroundings.
